The Gist Graduate and Industrial Placement schemes are designed for ambitious individuals who are serious about rapid career development. The schemes enable people to experience working for a wide range of our customers, whilst developing their business and people management skills within a structured development scheme.

Our schemes are critically important to Gist’s growth strategy, as their aim is to produce our managers of the future who will challenge the way we do things and help drive our business forward.

A wide range of individuals are involved in ensuring our Industrial Placements and Graduates succeed; from management at the site through to Head Office, as well as the trainees themselves.

CASE STUDIES

Vicky, Operations Management Graduate

Vicky, Operations Management Graduate
"From the day one of the Graduate scheme you're given lots of responsibility. The support given to you by the Early Talent team, your peers and your mentors is invaluable and they're able to guide you at every step of the way. Equally you're given plenty of opportunity to make your mistakes and learn from them - ultimately supporting your development."

Reade, Operations Management Industrial Placement

Reade, Operations Management Graduate
"The broad experience I have gained has surpassed my expectations and is something I have truly relished. My daily role sees me manage a team of up to 40 people. Being a 20 year old student, this helped me to quickly and efficiently develop new skills and helped mould me into the confident manager I am today.

Alice, Project Management Graduate

Alice, Project Management Graduate
"There are multiple opportunities to experience different parts of the organisation. From day one I was not only assisting on projects, but managing them. You won't just be placed in a corner expected to fetch the coffees! It's a fantastic level of responsibility in a supportive environment, you'll always have someone you can turn to for assistance."
