Every site in Gist’s temperature controlled logistics network awarded BRC Global Standard accreditation

Supply chain expert Gist is delighted to announce that all of its sites within its temperature controlled logistics network have been awarded the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Certification.

Gist’s newest site in EuroCentral in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, is the latest site to receive the accreditation following its recent audit. The site forms part of the organisation’s temperature controlled logistics network, managing the warehousing and transportation of chilled and ambient food products, from manufacturer to retailer.

Scott Paton, Head of Gist’s Scotland sites, said: “We’re delighted to receive the certification which is testament to hard work of our staff at Motherwell. This latest accreditation is even more special as it now means that all Gist temperature controlled logistics sites are certified by the BRC Global Standard.”

The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety began in the UK to help the food industry meet legislative requirements of the EU General Product Safety Directive and the UK Food Safety Act.
