Dublin site expansion furthers Gist coverage in Ireland
We have expanded our scope across Ireland after acquiring an additional warehouse to our current distribution facility in Clonshaugh, Dublin. The new warehouse, situated directly opposite, opened and began operation in August this year.
Increased Capacity
Providing supply chain services for customers such as Starbucks, BOC Gases and Marks and Spencer, we now have further capability for providing ambient storage, cross-docking of chilled products, as well as the ability to reach all 32 counties across Ireland.
Martin Gwynn, our CEO, comments: “The team at Clonshaugh has undertaken a significant amount of work during this development; installing brand-new racking, refurbishing all the offices and landscaping the exterior.
“We’re thrilled with the new warehouse and excited to offer expanded services to our customers based in Ireland. It’s an excellent opportunity for us to offer our innovative supply chain solutions to potential new customers."
Team Work
Jason McCarthy, our Head of Ireland Operations, explains: “This was a real team effort with staff from all areas of the business involved.
“Driver, warehouse, admin and transport teams very much took ownership for their own individual work-streams which has contributed significantly to the new location for the Irish business.”
The new site accommodates offices for our Global Freight Management team, and the extra warehouse space means that we can welcome new custom in Ireland.
