Leading logistics provider Gist is set to strengthen its presence in the brewing sector with the news that it has expanded its contract with well known brewer Carlsberg-Tetley. Under the new contract, worth £100 million over five years, Gist will carry out the transport element of Carlsberg-Tetley’s primary distribution business as well as retaining its existing warehousing operation.

Despite retailers hoping for an extended pre-Christmas spending frenzy, footfall and financial reports for the run-up to Christmas show that many consumers left their shopping until the last minute. But, as figures released today by leading logistics provider Gist show, once they began to shop they did it in style.

Four lorry drivers will set off from the Gist foods distribution centre in Hemel Hempstead this week (Thursday 2^nd October) on their third mission to Ukraine, as they deliver much-needed help aid to orphans in the region around Chernobyl.

Leading logistics provider Gist has today announced that it has won the contract to be Dutch flower producer Intergreen’s exclusive logistics partner for the transport of horticultural products between Holland and the UK.
