The BOC Group has today announced its third quarter financial results, displaying continued strength in the marketplace from Gist, the Group’s supply chain management business. (Please refer to BOC Group press release, www.boc.com).
Gist managing director Martin Gwynn commented: “Our performance this quarter has been solid, with a turnover increase of 19% and a profit increase of 40% on the same quarter last year.”
“Whilst the operating profit includes a one-off gain related to the re-organisation of the Marks & Spencer general merchandise contracts, our turnover continues strong growth year on year. We have increased volumes in all segments of the business and have enjoyed full quarter benefit of new business with Carlsberg-Tetley.”
Gwynn continued: “The recent appointment of Peter Bradford to the Gist board as business director for retail confirms our dedication to this sector.
“We are confident that we will be able to build on this continued strong performance as we move into the final quarter.”
