The BOC Group has today announced its second quarter financial results revealing a solid performance from the Group’s supply chain arm, Gist.
Gist Managing Director Martin Gwynn commented: “Our performance this quarter has seen us build on our great start to the year by showing continued growth of 17 per cent.
“To reflect this, and to enhance our status as one of the country’s leading supply chain specialists, we have recently relocated our head office to a new, much larger, site at Chineham, Basingstoke. This will accommodate our expanding workforce and rapidly developing business.
“This quarter saw us sign a new, multi-million pound contract with the John Lewis Partnership. Although we already had an established relationship with JLP, this is the first time that the company has outsourced supply chain operations – something we see as a huge vote of confidence in our abilities.
“We have also seen considerable growth in our other offerings. For example, our consulting services team, working alongside our strategic consulting partner Accenture, recently undertook an investigative analysis of Woolworths Australia’s supply chain. This project is a perfect example of Gist’s distinctive approach – we focus on solving the underlying business problem rather than treating the symptom.”
Gwynn concluded: “Having sustained our growth rate through the first half of this financial year and seen profit rise as a result by 21 per cent, we feel very confident as we move into quarter three.”
