What does it involve?

The Gist Industrial Placement Scheme helps put your academic studies into context and provides a unique insight into the dynamic business environment.

It is a role that enables you to span the worlds of business and IT, giving you real responsibility from the outset and providing a fascinating insight into the way in which information technology underpins the entire supply chain.

As a member of the IT team, you will be working on a diverse range of projects from helping to deploy new supply chain software solutions, carrying out research to help shape our IT strategy, or working with our outsource partners to ensure a first class service is delivered to our users and customers.

The IT placement scheme allows you to build an awareness of your interests, competencies, values and potential to an organisation.

This position is ideal for students of any discipline that have a keen interest in Information Technology.

A good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access is required.

Candidates must be expecting at least a 2:1 degree and have GSCE A-C in English and Maths.

After a successful Industrial Placement, candidates can be fast-tracked to the assessment stage of the graduate scheme.
