The Operations Management Programme is designed to develop:
- An understanding of Gist and our values
- Operations skills and knowledge
- Business skills
- Managerial skills
The programme consists of at least 3 placements, during which you will gain exposure to:
- Warehouse operations
- Transport operations
- Project work
- Enabling functions
Being part of the operations stream will involve you managing teams of people and helping them towards achievement of real business targets.
To ensure you gain a broad understanding of our business you will work at a number of our UK sites during your programme. Full mobility is therefore essential.

The Future
Once you have completed your training you will move into a Shift Manager position, with all the responsibilities that entails. We will continue to develop your capability to aid your progress to a senior management position.
