The environment

Gist plays a key part in the supply chain management of several major businesses and takes its environmental performance and responsibilities seriously. Our performance affects not only our success at meeting our own environmental commitments, but also plays an important part in helping our customers meet theirs.

Conformity with existing legislation and regulations is clearly a must, but over the years, Gist has also pioneered and implemented a series of leading edge environmental initiatives. These encompass every aspect of our business from vehicles and depot operation to involvement in community projects.

UN Global Compact

Through our parent company, The Linde Group, Gist is signed up to the UN Global Compact. The Compact consists of nine guiding principles, including environmental stewardship, labour and human rights. We are fully committed to the Compact and use the principle to framework our environmental policy.
