Gist has created a world first in dynamic multi-nodal transport planning, with the development of GistDXS.
This industry-leading system has been recognised by being selected for the shortlist for the two categories, Business Initiative of the Year and Technology and Logistics Supplier of the Year at The Grocer Gold Awards 2010.
The Grocer Gold Awards recognise the best of the best in grocery retail for service, initiative and commitment.
Launched in 2003, the awards are focused on key business areas such as innovation and customer satisfaction.
Martin Gwynn, Gist chief executive, said: “Gist DXS is a unique, world-leading product designed for optimising supply chain efficiency. It allows us to drive a better utilisation across the network, optimise vehicle fill and reduce food miles. This allows Gist, and therefore also its customers, to reduce cost and carbon footprint whilst improving services. We believe this is a truly world-leading system and we are very please that this has been recognised in us reaching the shortlist of The Grocer Gold Awards.”
The winners of The Grocer Gold Awards 2010 will be announced on Wednesday 16 June 2010.
